Andrea Carole Zajac passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Born on September 19, 1950, in Winnipeg, Andrea lived a life filled with love, kindness, strength, and adventure.
Andrea was the cherished daughter of the late Peter and Carol Zajac and is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Horsfall, with whom she shared a beautiful life and many wonderful adventures.
Above all, Andrea treasured her family. She was a loving, devoted mother to her daughters, Lauren (Marc Thomas) and Brenna Horsfall, and a proud, adoring grandmother to Ela Thomas. She was also a cherished sister to Barb (Gary) Miskimmin and Doug (Sue) Zajac, and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Andrea will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strength, and unwavering loyalty. She had a remarkable way of making those around her feel loved and supported, and her presence enriched so many lives.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the CancerCare staff, Concordia Hospital staff, and the MAiD team for the compassion, dignity, and support they provided to Andrea and her family.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to a charity of your choice in Andrea’s memory, honouring her generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
Andrea will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love by her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
