Three years have passed since you left us. Your memory continues to fill our thoughts every day, but your presence in our lives will always be missed.
I hold a blushing rose between my hands
and for a lovely moment, time stands still,
I can remember well, a green clad hill,
the golden promise of a summer sun,
a flower scented breeze that scarcely stirred,
the wild, sweet singing of a tiny bird,
and your blue eyes-the echo of our vow-
and your blue eyes, closed, forever now.
