While at home, looking out at his favourite spot in the world, his backyard, with all his animal friends nearby, Larry, unexpectedly left us. Although we are deeply saddened by the loss of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, it brings us comfort to know that he is once again with the love of his life, who he has missed dearly, always wondering when they will be together again.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Jean, whom he never stopped loving. Left to miss him like crazy are: son Bradley, daughter Lori and grandsons, Christopher and Brayden (Leah); son Daryll, wife Janet and granddaughters, Danielle (Danny) and Julia; son Randy (Joanne); son Kenny, wife Colleen and grandson Cole; and his first, precious great-granddaughter Claire.
Retiring from CN after 39 years gave Larry more time to focus on his creative side.
Aside from his drawing and painting, Larry loved spending time with the special people in his life.
He was a fantastic host to close friends and his family - dinners were full of laughter, good stories and always a scotch or three with his sons.
Larry will forever be remembered for his sense of humour, his ability to bring people together and his love of his scenic backyard where he watched, fed and nurtured, the squirrels, birds and deer, playing in his yard…they’re all going to miss you too Dad!
As requested by Dad, there will be no service.
In lieu of donations, Dad would want you to love your family, love your neighbours, love your planet.
