Manuel (Freddy) Feuntes Pino was blessed on the earth on December 31, 1952 in Santiago, Chile to Manuel Jesus Pino. He was the fourth of seven children, he had four brothers, Belford, Rodrigo, Simon and Valentino and two sisters, Maria and Ingres.
After growing up in Chile for his first 21 years, Manuel came to Canada to seek his fortune in 1974. He worked for many years at Griffin Steel and Manitoba Tool and Dye. He then worked for ten years delivering community newspapers for the Winnipeg Free Press until his retirement in 2013.
Manuel loved to play chess and was very passionate about soccer, especially his favorite player Lionel Messi, the Chilean National Team and football club for Barcelona his favorite of all.
Manuel led a full life especially with his true love Arlene Beck, whom he met by hiring, while at the Winnipeg Free Press in 1996. They were to share their lives together until his passing.
He lived life passionately until God brought him home to be with him on the morning of September 24, 2026.
We will forever love him and keep him in our hearts. He will truly be missed by all that knew him and loved him.
