It is with profound sadness and love that we announce the passing of our mom, Myrna "Gail" Defoort (nee Walker). Mom was born on February 5, 1941, in Brandon, Manitoba and passed away on July 12, 2026, in MacGregor, Manitoba.
Gail was predeceased by her husband Rene Defoort, infant son Mark, and brother Craig. Gail is survived by her daughter Lisa (Cam) Cleaver, son Brent Defoort, daughter Laurie Miller and grandchildren, Spencer and Trem Cleaver, Quincy (Brian) Stanger, Zadok and Xander Miller, Adriana (Zaid) Khan, great-granddaughter Kinley Cleaver, sister Linda (Glen) Leckie, sister-in-law Evelyn and many nieces and nephews.
Mom loved reading, crosswords and watching her favourite sports. Mom enjoyed going to the legion, visiting and playing the slot machines. We will miss her friendly smile and encouraging positive attitude.
A private family graveside will take place.
