RONALD (RON) CHABIDON

August 19, 1952 - August 30, 2026

Our family is sad to announce the passing of our son , brother and uncle.

Left to mourn his passing are his mother Gwen; sisters, Laurie and Kathy; brothers, Rob, Pat and Andrew; and many nieces and nephews.

He was quite a character and as his younger siblings you always had to be ready for anything. A true adventurous spirit. Ron left home at an early age to work in northern Manitoba. After returning home he began working for CN where his adventures continued living in Jasper for a while. He returned home to be near family. While working on the railroad, he also began a career in modelling and he was very successful and had many friends in the business.

Ron moved to Los Angeles where he worked in the movie industry. He finished his career working for Disney. He spent his last years with Tina and his many animals. Our family would like to thank Tina for caring for him.

A private internment has taken place.

Rest well brother we love you. He had a good life all the way.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I'm sorry to hear about Ron's passing. We weren't close friends but enjoyed are modeling career. We used to model for Mr. Big & Tall and Hudson's Bay Co. I remember waiting for our modeling clothes to arrive to the modeling location, and when they did young ladies lying on the floor holding the cuffs of our modeling pants down so there was no wrinkles in the legs in the pictures. - Posted by: Paul Tilley (Fellow Model) on: Oct 17, 2026

  • Ronnie was unique & had a vision for himself which he pursued & succeeded. As a kid at the beach, he loved playing jokes on the girls when he’d pop up behind us unannounced & laugh loudly. He was always busy doing something. I believe he enjoyed life to the fullest while he was able in a warm climate. Ron is remembered fondly at Lester Beach for sure! Condolences to all the Chabidon family.. a family member is the hardest. - Posted by: Karen (Old neighbour) on: Oct 11, 2026
