Caroleen passed away peacefully in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
Caroline was born in Winnipeg on April 29, 1961 to father Jules Chartrand and mother Anne Stoesz.
Left to cherish her memory is her father Jules Chartrand; sisters, Yvette and Yvonne; brother Michael; along with many cousins, aunties and uncles. She was predeceased by her mother Anne Stoesz, brothers, Stephen and Lorne Chartrand.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Indigenous Church, 265 Flora Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

What a lovely gentle soul and an intelligent woman. Caroline and I worked together in the early 80's at Hecla Island. We spend time gathering berries and pine nuts for the organic market. We took in concerts and poetry readings and sat around talking and listening to music. Both at staff quarters and Caroline's apartment. I was just telling my daughter how I miss her and need to find her again. So sad to see her Obituary. I will surely miss you Caroline but you will always be in my heart.
