Peter Penner passed away quietly and peacefully on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
He is survived by his wife Anne, daughters Gerri (Jack) and Lisa (Brent), daughter-in-law Debbie and grandchildren Nathan, Sara, Katie, Joshua, Riley, Tyler and Adam.
Peter was predeceased by his son Richard and son-in-law Wayne McLean.
Peter was born in the Rhineland Municipality of Manitoba on March 17, 1937. He stayed on the family farm until he married Anne Dueck on July 3, 1960. They moved to Winnipeg to find work and start their family. Peter enjoyed a long and satisfying career at the Grace General Hospital as an orderly for 35 years. After retirement, he and Anne enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii and Yuma, Arizona.
We are grateful to staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital, 3rd floor for their tender care of Peter.
Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Burial will follow the service.
