Mary Witzke (nee Peters), born January 25, 1933 in Rosenort, Zagradovka (present day Ukraine) to Franz and Anna Peters (nee Thielmann) passed away the evening of October 8, 2026 at Bethania Personal Care Home. She is survived by daughter Helga and sister Tina Froese (nee Peters) and her daughter Caroline. Also left to mourn are Mary’s nephews, Ed and Susan (nee Jansen) Schmidt, Erich and Ruby (nee Runas), and David and Janice (nee Graham) Schmidt.
Mary was predeceased by husband John Witzke and her sister Annie Schmidt.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg, with viewing prior.
