It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, David Allan Smith, who passed away at East Gate Lodge in Beausejour on September 29, 2026, at the age of 88.
David was born in Pontypridd, Wales and came to Canada in 1966.
He is predeceased by his wife Donna and daughter Angela, as well as his parents, John and Elizabeth Smith of England.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Wayne (Nancy), Bill (Pam) and Elizabeth (Danny). He is survived by his grandchildren, Brennen (Johanna), Kyle (Jayne), Daniel (Payten), as well he leaves his partner Christine Stewart.
A special thank you to the staff at East Gate Lodge Shamrock unit for all the care and compassion they showed towards our father.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11:00 am at Sobering Funeral Chapel with a luncheon to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion # 132, Beausejour, Manitoba.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
