EMA LENIO

(FRUMEN)

September 13, 1950 - October 11, 2026

In Loving Memory

Ema Lenio (née Fruman), 76, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, October 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her husband and family in her final days.

Ema is lovingly remembered by her husband, Thomas; sons Jonas and Eli; her daughter-in-love, Tricia (Eli’s wife); grandchildren Tasha, Maximilian, Milo, Theodore, and Isaiah; sister Helen Floresco; brother Joe Fruman; sisters-in-law Janis Slack and Linda Thompson, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Ema found her calling working with children with special needs at Gordon Bell High School until her retirement. In 1969, she married her husband, Tom, and together they raised their family in Winnipeg.

Ema will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness, generosity, loving heart, and unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ. A steadfast and faithful servant of the Lord, she lived her life sharing God’s love, openly speaking of her faith, and encouraging others to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

Our prayer is that even in her passing, Ema’s testimony will continue to touch hearts and lead others to the saving grace and everlasting hope found in Jesus Christ.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23

A celebration of Ema’s life and faith will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 12:00 noon, at Kildonan Community Church, 2373 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. All are welcome to attend.

  • Dear Helen and family, My heartfelt condolences to you and the entire Lenio family. Emma was such a lovely person who made a lasting impression on all of us. She truly mothered all of us kids at the Norquay Community Centre, and I will always remember her warmth and kindness. She will be fondly remembered. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. - Posted by: Shirley Arnaud (Point Douglas neighbour 70's 80's) on: Oct 21, 2026

  • It is with much compassion and love that I send condolences on behalf of both Daanis and myself. I was saddened to hear that Ema had been having health issues but really thought she would pull through. I'm happy that I got to speak with her sone weeks ago, although I wished I had said more. It's hard for us to think that one day we will lose those we love and care for, but we do return to our creator and that's so hard for us to be left without them. Ema and I shared that great loss when both my parents passed. She loved them so much and cared for them with such grace. They must have been happy to welcome her home! I am happy that I met and spent time with Ema in my life and that she showed love and respect for me in ways that are unseen; I know she prayed for me and my daughter and that is love. I will miss Ema's smile and knowing that she always spoke to God on my behalf, so I thank god the creator for such a wonderful being, truly an angel on earth! - Posted by: Noreen Demeria (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2026
