With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Cheryl Bigus on October 10, 2026, surrounded by family.
Cheryl leaves sons, Jeff (Tammy) Bigus and Leonard (Amanda) Bigus; her sister Heather (Bill) McEachern; aunt Ruth Fric and cousins, Laura, Kathryn, Lori, David, Johnny, and many nieces and nephews; special friend Lynn (Al) Penner and large extended family. Cheryl was predeceased by her husband Barry and her parents, Donald and Dorothy McKee, her sister Lynn and brother Kevin.
Cheryl was raised on the family farm at Sperling, attending school in Sperling and in Carman. After graduation she attended University to become a schoolteacher. She taught for several years making many lifelong friends. She married Barry in 1978. She became a stepmother to Jeff and later adopted Leonard to complete her family.
A private graveside service will be held at Sperling Cemetery, with lunch after in Sperling Hall.
