David Strong passed away peacefully at home on October 16, 2026. He was surrounded by immediate family and a few close friends.
David was born on March 11, 1965, in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Gordon and Joan Strong (nee Croll). He leaves behind his best friend and much beloved wife of 30 years, Eveline Schroth. Other close family members include his sister Allison Neufeld (Russ), his brothers, Duncan Strong (Lynette) and Doug Strong (Kim), his uncle Hugh Ritchie, and his precious dog Kenya. He will also be fondly remembered by his in-laws and his numerous nieces and nephews.
A "no ties allowed Wake" will be held at the Qualico Family Centre in Assiniboine Park on November 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Come celebrate his life by raising a toast, sharing a story, or engaging in a chantey.

Found out last week from Ken S. that our friend David passed away. I want to send my deepest condolences to the family and friends for your loss. I served with David in the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in the 80s and 90s and remember him as a fantastic, intelligent and funny person. Glad to have served and known him for a good part of my service.
