After a brief but intense illness, James P. Stevenson passed away on October 9, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol; daughter Deborah (Steve); son Allan (Desiree); and many grandchildren.
An avid stained-glass hobbyist, he also loved NASCAR, wood carving and frequenting Tim Hortons daily. His distinguished career within the public service earned him the prestigious Government of Canada Award of Excellence which he was very proud of.
