It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved sister and aunt on October 26, 2026, at the age of 78.
She is survived by her sisters, Judy Pichurski and Joanne Flynn; her brother Bill Pichurski; and by numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Eva Pichurski; and by her brother John Pichurski; and sister Olga Pichurski.
Ruth was born in Stonewall, Manitoba on June 8, 1948 the third oldest of six children.
Ruth grew up in rural Manitoba but felt most at home in the city. Over her lifetime she lived in Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto, then returned to Winnipeg in the 1990s.
Ruth had a passion for books and reading and worked as a library technician for many years. Religion was important to her, and she was a dedicated member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Ruth was a kind and generous person and was helpful to many people throughout her life.
A private family service has taken place.
