JANE WAZNY Suddenly, after a brief illness, Jane Wazny, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 67 years. Jane was born October 11, 1937 in Oak Hammock, MB. Jane was predeceased by her father Walter Wazny and her brother Robert Wazny. She leaves to mourn, her mother Victoria Wazny; sister Evelyn (Leon) Prucyk of Libau; brother Eric (Barbara) Wazny; sister-in-law Myrna Wazny; niece Barbara (James) Bardsley of Neepawa; nephew Brian (Catharine) Prucyk of Milwaukee; niece Karen Wazny and niece Janice (Wazny) Gehman; also great-nephews, Mark, Jonathon, Geordan Bardsley and Andrew Prucyk. Jane was a longtime employee of Salisbury House Restaurants, starting as a waitress and working her way up to purchasing agent before her retirement. She enjoyed travelling, making friends, reading and taking long walks. She was devoted to her family, spending much time with her mother at Fred Douglas Nursing Home, as well as doting on her nephews and nieces. Jane was a strong and fiercely independent woman right up to the end. She was more concerned about how her family felt then about her own welfare. Jane's passing leaves a void in the family and she will be sadly missed. As per Jane's wishes no service will be held. Donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
