DONALD WILLIAM CUSHMAN Peacefully, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, Donald Cushman passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital, on Saturday, September 4, 1999 at the age of 58 years. Donald will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 35 years, Elvina; father William of Regina; children, Kim (Richard) Slade, Tammy (Brian) Ste. Marie of Southampton, ON, Trevor (Roseanne), Shelley (Murray) McMullan, Shaunna (Jason) Wall; grandchildren, Ryan and Kathryn Slade and Taylor Ste. Marie; brothers and sisters, Larry (Connie) of Nanaimo, Merv (Leah) of Estherhazy, Sharyn (Del) Skriver of Merritt, Richard (Jody) of Calgary. He was predeceased by his mother Bertha. Don was born on June 28, 1941 in Tribune, Saskatchewan to William and Bertha Cushman. He was a loving Husband, Dad and Grandad who enjoyed curling, flying radio controlled airplanes, music and watching Blue Jays baseball games. He spent most of his working life at Chrysler Canada. Don was a good man who lived a full and happy life and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Prayers will be said Tuesday, September 7 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 8, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Annes Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. with Rt. Rev. Canon Walter Klimchuk officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Paul Daeninck, nurses and staff on 5B, St. Boniface Hospital for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Dons memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation for Cancer Research, 409 Tache Ave. Winnipeg R2H 2A6.
