JOSEPH SHYIAK 1913 - 1999 On Friday, September 3, 1999, at the Lions Prairie Manor, Joseph Shyiak of Portage la Prairie, widower of the late Ann Shyiak, passed away at the age of 85 years. Prayers will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, on Wednesday, September 8 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Thursday, September 9 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at Hillside Cemetery. Predeceased by an infant son Leonard in 1940, his wife Ann in 1990, five brothers and one sister, he leaves to mourn his passing son Morris (Arlene) of Oakville; grandchildren, Cari (Michele) of Munich, Germany, Darryl (Brenda) of Montgomery, Alabama, Todd (Trish) of Vancouver, BC; son Joe Jr. (Sheila) grandchildren, Kim (Mike), Shelley (Len) all of Fort Francis, ON; son Garry (Lorna) of Terrace, BC; grandchildren, Scott (Stacey), Leah (Sig) all of Kelowna, BC; daughter Sharon (Jim) Milbradt of Kamloops, BC; granddaughters, Brandi Ann of Montreal, PQ, Jamie Lee of Edmonton, AB; 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister Olga Ryzner of Alonsa, MB; sisters and brothers-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Lions Prairie Manor, 24-9th St S.E., Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3V4 The Omega Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
