RICHARD GEORGE HANNA Suddenly on September 5, 1999, Dad passed away at home. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Debbie; his brother Casey (Nelda) of Raymore, SK; his sister Madge (Jim) Mager of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Teresa of Winnipeg; numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Audrey; son Clifford; parents, Lillian and Samuel; his brothers and sisters, Nell, Lillian, Florance, James and William. Dad was born in Seamans, SK on June 7, 1909. He served in the Second World War as a Gunner from 1942 to 1945 and saw action in Italy, France, Belgium, Germany and Holland. He was a life member of the Fort Rouge Legion, Branch No. 97 and held various positions. He worked for Canada Packers for 35 years followed by a second career with the Corps of Commissionaires which lasted 20 years. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 10 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing prior to the service at 1:30 p.m. at Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd., with Rev. Dennis Butcher officiating. In accordance with Dads wishes cremation will take place following the service. A special thank you to homecare workers, Angie and Paula for the special care given to Dad. Thanks to Grace for being such a good friend to my Dad and his numerous friends at the Legion. Also, thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the St. Boniface Day Hospital. In lieu of flowers, for those who so wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (Manitoba Division), 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg R3C 0S6 or to a charity of ones choice.
