DR. FRED OLLINIK B.S.C. D.D.S. F.I.C.D. Passed away Friday September 3, 1999. Born February 9, 1927 in Canora, Saskatchewan to Stephen and Vera Olynyk of Buchanan, Saskatchewan. He is sadly missed by his wife Joan; daughter Jill; son Steven (Dale) granddaughter Jessica; brothers, John (Anne), Bill, George (Mary), Matt (Lorraine), Steve (Margurite) sisters, Mary (Steve), Rosie, Doreen (Merv), Katie, Vicki (Walter), Virginia (George). Predeceased by his mother and father and sister Anne Chobotar. Fred attended elementary and high school in Buchanan, Saskatchewan. He attended Success Business College, University of Manitoba (Bachelor of Science, 1951) and University of Toronto (Doctor of Dental Surgery, 1955). Fred was the President of the Manitoba Dental Association in 1969 (Life Member), as well as a member of the Winnipeg Dental Association, the International College of Dentistry and a member of the XI. PSI . PHI. Fraternity. Fred was instrumental in the development of the Morden Medical Centre where he practised Dentistry from 1955 - 1991. Throughout his career, Fred had a great deal of respect and admiration for his colleagues, patients and dedicated staff, headed by Mary Miller. Fred enjoyed practising Dentistry. His community involvement included first chairman of Morden United Way, Past President of the Kinsmen Club of Morden, Treasurer of K 40, and Treasurer of Morden Golf Club. Joan, Jill, Steven and Dale would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the caring staff of 5 East at Deer Lodge Centre, private nurse Kathleen and massage therapist Genora, family, and friends who have supported them during the past eight years. A private family service will be held in Buchanan, Saskatchewan at a later date. Donations may be made to the Manitoba Head Injury Association, 825 Sherbrook St., Rm. 204 Winnipeg, Manitoba.
