Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN EATON COY After a lengthy illness, John Eaton Coy passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 1999 at the Victoria Hospital. John was predeceased by his wife Betty in June 1999 and his brothers, Eric (Helen) and Grenville. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Sandra Hallett; sons, John and Greg Coy; grandchildren, Blake and Rachelle Hallett, and Kristin, Harmony and Joshua Coy, all of Winnipeg; his nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Linda. John was born in Winnipeg, January 12, 1919. He served in the Second World War with the RCAF. John was one of the pioneer families of the Charleswood area. He spent most of his working career with Eatons. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and sports. Special thanks to the staff of the St. Norbert Nursing Home and the 5th floor staff of the Victoria Hospital for their care and support. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer Society of Winnipeg, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3R6.
