JOHN JACOB BAUER Suddenly, on September 7, 1999 at the Health Sciences Centre, John Jacob Bauer passed away at the age of 86 years. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anna; sisters, Ann, Bobby, and Bertha; his brother Jack, as well as the mother of his children; his first wife Frances. John leaves to mourn his wife Violet, and her children, Robert, Daniel, Gerald and June and their families; his son John (Edwina) of Victoria, B.C.; daughter Bonnie (Bruce) Guagliardo of LaSalle; daughter Doreen Bauer of Winnipeg; his grandchildren, Carolyn, John and Jamie of Victoria, B.C., Jason of London, Ont., Nadeen, Robert and Kristina of Winnipeg; brothers-in-law, Irvine Campbell of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Harold Bower of Toronto, Ont., and numerous nieces and nephews and family. John was born in Winnipeg and resided here his entire life with exception of the time during the Second World War when he served his country on the Coast (Shore Patrol). Dad worked for London Life and Equitable Life for many years. His pride and joy was his garden and flowers. He would spent his entire day making sure that the yard was perfect. Funeral service for John will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 13 at Kerrs Funeral Chapel, 120 Adelaide Street. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Special thanks are extended to the D.V.A. Services and in particular to Mr. Randy Kupchik for all his care and support. Flowers are appreciated, or donations may be made in memory of John to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to the charity of ones choice.
