BERTHA CLARICE FLOCKTON (nee GOBEIL) Peacefully, after a short illness and with her family at her side, on Thursday, September 9, 1999, Bertha Flockton, 81 years old, left us to join her beloved husband Alsace. In past years, Bertha had been active with Regents Park United Church Womens Group and also enjoyed her many years of bowling Mondays with the Golden Oldies League at Niakwa and Fridays with the Womens League at the Coronation Lanes. After her husbands passing in 1990, Bertha enjoyed spending most of her time with her children and their expanding families. Mom leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Sharon Prystenski and her sons, Lance and Dale; son Ken and his wife Bonnie with their children, Tanya, Lisa and Colin; son Brian and his wife Bev with their sons, Scott and Todd; daughter Diane McElrea and her husband Mike with their children, Crystal and Ryan; daughter Sandra Cline and her husband Rod with their children, Justin, Danielle and Adam. Granny was also very special to great-grandchildren, Brett, Charnelle, Rhys, Jade, Dylan, Kolten, Sabrina and Madison. Bertha is survived by her sisters, Yvonne Desjardins (Edmonton) Doris Peterson; brother Pete Gobeil; brother-in-law Wilfred Flockton and special sister-in-law Ida Ziemski. She will also be missed by friend Nellie Pidlubny. The family would like to thank Dr. Daeninck and the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, Cancer Unit for their care over the past few months. An extra special thank you to all the staff on 3E Palliative Care Ward at St. Boniface Hospital who extended to Mom and the rest of the family their special form of care and compassion over the past few weeks. Pallbearers will be Lance Prystenski, Dale Prystenski, Earle Anderson, Colin Flockton, Scott Flockton and Justin Cline. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. from Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Berthas memory to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment & Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9 or Jocelyn House Inc., 177 Egerton Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 2W7. We will never forget you, you will always be in our Hearts. GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
