Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHUGH MOFFATT Hugh Moffatt of Merritt, formerly of Winnipeg, passed away August 31, 1999 at the age of 88. He was born on August 26, 1911 in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Hugh will be lovingly remembered by his only daughter Audrey (Neil) Campbell; granddaughter Pam (Dale) Collins and great-grandson Brandon all of Merrit; in-laws, Elizabeth Campbell and Harley and Happy Campbell of Kelowna and close friend Edna Salamandyck of Winnipeg. Hugh was predeceased by his wife Olga (nee Helgason) granddaughter Suzanne and brother Arnold. Hugh worked for the City of Winnipeg for many years until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the Legion where he had many good friends. He moved to Merritt four years ago and for the past year lived in Overlander Extended Care Hospital in Kamloops. Hugh will be remembered as a loving father and a kind person who was always generous, dependable, honest, hardworking and full of fun. There will be no service. Private family graveside prayers at a later date will follow cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hugh to Coquihalla/Gillis House, 2201 Jackson Ave., Merritt, B.C., V1K 1C6 or Overlander Extended Care Hospital, 953 Southill, Kamloops, B.C., V2B 7Z9, would be appreciated.
