Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNORMAN PALIDWOR On September 7, 1999, Norman Palidwor passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 77 years. Norman was predeceased by his beloved wife Doreen (nee Thompson) in 1992; parents, Paul and Lillian, and brother Walter. Left to cherish his memory and unique sense of humour are his children, Lloyd (Darlene), Brenda (Merlin) Halipchuk, Curtis (Leanne Landriault) and grandchildren, Kerri (Bill) Moloney, Jason, Darryl, Kevin, Steve and Karlin. He is also survived by one sister Mary Surzyshyn; three brothers, Harry, Emil and Ed (Lil) and many nieces and nephews. Norman was born in Meadowvale, Manitoba on September 15, 1921. He was raised in Oakbank, Manitoba, and later resided in Dugald with his wife Doreen and family until his passing. Dad enjoyed all aspects of the game of baseball, as a player, coach and general spectator. He was a great handy-man who took pride in his workshop and tackled any new project that came along. Norman enjoyed a variety of careers culminating at Westroc Industries as a shipper/receiver from which he retired. Grandpa P was happiest when gathered with his children, grandchildren, relatives and friends for celebrations. Dad will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many neighbours in the Dugald community who would frequently enquire about his well being. He was often observed riding his scooter around town with his canine buddy Sandy, who will also miss her pal, they were inseparable. Prayers will be said on Sunday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 13 at 2:00 p.m. also at Green Acres Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bruce Faurschou officiating. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made in Normans memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
