CECIL LAWRENCE ROLFE January 9, 1926 - September 10, 1999 Peacefully at his residence with his loving family at his side. He leaves to mourn his passing his cherished wife of 45 years Kristine (nee Finnson) daughter Sigrid and granddaughter Ilsa; son Cameron (friend Sandy) son John (Karen) and grandchildren, Dylan and Haley; brother Elgin (Bernice) sister Eleanor and a large number of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Cec was born in Bishopton, Quebec. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1943-1973. Upon retirement from the military the family settled in Winnipeg, and Cec worked for Canada Post until his retirement in 1986. Cec was a loving father and grandfather. For the past 20 years, he was devoted to his disabled son Cameron. At Cecs request cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at the Hnausa Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on September 14 from 3:30 p.m to 5:00 p.m. Thanks are extended to family, friends, VON nurses, and long time family physician Dr. A.M. Cotton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cecils memory to the Manitoba Cancer Research and Treatment Foundation, 100 Olivia Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
