Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE CHRISTENSEN George Christensen passed away at the Colonel Belcher Hospital in Calgary on September 10, 1999 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by his children, Rick (Karen), Judi (John) Jackson, and Nancy (Gary) Laforet; grandchildren, Dayna, Jillian, Nathan, Josh, Kathleen, Lauren, and Matthew; brother Art, sister Anne Sinclair; and by numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Gunnar and sister Elsie. George served overseas during the Second World War as a gun sergeant with the 13th Winnipeg Field Battery, 6th Canadian Field Regiment, R.C.A. Funeral services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4 St., N.W. (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Wednesday, September 15 at 1:30 p.m., with interment to follow in the Field of Honour.
