Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRA JANE WOODHOUSE It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Myra Jane (Captain) (Mink) Woodhouse. Born January 2, 1929 in Cedar Lake, MB and died September 10, 1999 in Winnipeg, MB. Myra moved to Winnipeg in 1966 where she lived until her passing. She was employed at the Health Sciences Centre for 27 years. Her life oriented around her family and friends. She had deep concern for the youth and often talked to them. Myra will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her daughter Minnie Lariviere, her granddaughter Valerie (Terry) Henderson, her great-grandson Brian Mink; her siblings, Jack Captain and Hilda (Mathias) Miles; her cousins, Ruby (Fred) Thomas, Caroline (Micheal) Chartrand, Coral (Simond) Patchinose, Virginia (Norman) George, her godchildren, Tom Young, Alfred Mink, Caroline Chartrand and Freda (John) Munroe; her nieces, Rhoda Miles, Evelyn Flett, Sheila (John) Cheboyer, Priscilla Mink, Cynthia (Ben) Cook and Sylvia (Willie) Hengemuehl, her nephews, John Miles, Don Miles, James (Jackie) Miles, Philip Mink, Ovid (Anna) Chartier, Jonas (Clarice) Chartier, Ovide (Edna) Chartier and Harry Chartier; as well as many friends. Myra was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Mink in 1971; her parents, William and Flora Captain, all her in-laws; her sisters, Margaret Partridge and Anne Chartier, her brothers Malcolm, Fraser, Richard and Sidney Captain, her nephew Ronnie Miles, her niece Jessie Chartier and her former husband Adam Woodhouse of 30 years and her two children, Ronnia and Bertha Mink. Honourary pallbearers will be her friends and family. Active pallbearers will be Brian Mink, Victor Miles, John Miles, Terry Henderson, Harvey Thomas and Ovide Chartier, Cross bearer will be Ruby Thomas. Wake service will be held on September 13 and 14 at the residence of Ruby Thomas in Easterville, MB. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15 at Easterville, with Rev. Michael Chartrand officiating. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff on H6 at the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness and support, and the sisters of Holy Names of Jesus and Mayr and the sisters of Sion.
