Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILFRED JAMES BEATON (WHISKEY) March 5, 1910 - September 11, 1999 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father Wilfred James Beaton on Saturday, September 11, 1999 at the age of 89 years. Dad leaves to mourn his passing, seven children, Wilfred Jr. of Calgary, Larry (Penny) of Chiliwack, Brian of Calgary, Bill (Joan) of Selkirk, Bonnie (Bob) Flett of Peguis, Kathy (Jim) Begg of Selkirk and Betty-Ann (Tom) Schoeneman of Calgary and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, George, and sisters, Alma Reid, Beatrice Leigh, Edith (Dan) Greening, Myrtle (Jack) Mondar, Georgina Wasio and Geraldine (Gordon) Moodie, also numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his parents William and Grace Beaton. His brothers, Clifford and Clarence; sister Grace Mickolson; also sisters-in-law Muriel and Mary and brothers-in-law Ralph, Stan, John and Tony. Viewing will be held Wednesday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, Manitoba. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Gilbart Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Sharman officiating. Interment to follow at St. Andrews Churchyard. His pallbearers will be Wilfred Beaton Jr., Bill Beaton, Larry Beaton, Jim Begg, Brian Beaton and Bill Flett. The family would like to thank the staff at Red River Place for the care and kindness given to our father. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
