PAUL DUMA After a long and courageous struggle with Parkinsons disease, Paul, aged 85 years, passed away on Monday, September 13, 1999 at East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Ella in April, 1988; his sister Tillie in June 1999 and his parents, John and Mary. Left to mourn his passing are his daughter Elaine (Ron) Dufily; his son Roy (Bernice) his devoted sister Ann Duma and his sister Jean Hall; also his nieces and nephew. Paul was born on October 15, 1913 in Allegra, MB, where he farmed until 1945. He then moved to Beausejour, MB. He was an active member in both communities, served on Town Council and as a trustee at St. Marys Church where he was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Dad held a variety of jobs throughout his lifetime. He sold Watkins products and was a caretaker at the Beausejour School. He ventured into Real Estate and auctioneering. When business slowed down, he was employed as a school bus driver and mail courier. Sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Corder and the staff at East Gate Lodge for the excellent care given our father for the past five and one half years. Also many thanks to the people who visited him. Prayers will be held on Thursday, September 16, at 7:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Park Ave. E., Beausejour. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 17 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in his memory may be made to East Gate Lodge, or the Beausejour and District Hospital, Box 1629, Beausejour, MB, R0E 0C0, or to a charity of your choice.
