DONALD E. MCCORMICK January 6, 1925 - September 14, 1999 Peacefully, with Marion at his side, Don passed into the hands of God. He fought a courageous battle with cancer while he was in New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his wife Eunice in 1977. Donald had a long and satisfying career as a carpenter with the Winnipeg School Division #1. He was an active member of the Shriners and looked forward to the circus. He continued his involvement with the Shrine even after his retirement and always managed to be here for it. Don was an avid traveler. He got in the car and went wherever his heart led him. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Judy Hemingway and Ralph, Comox, BC, Diana, Grant and Brenda, Catherine and Denis Grenier and Jim and Kathryn all of Winnipeg; brothers, Edward (Vivian), Kenneth (Violet) of Winnipeg; sisters, Beth (Bob), Shoal Lake, Marnie (Bob), Whitbey, ON; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Flowers gratefully declined, in lieu a donation to the Shriners Stop Burn Injuries, c/o Khartum Temple, 529 Wellington Cres., Winnipeg, MB, R3M 0A5 is our wish. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 20 at 11:00 a.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Shrine Chaplain Stan Millar officiating.
