Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDA GRACE SPARROW Peacefully at Deer Lodge Centre on September 15, 1999 at the age of 93. Hilda was born, educated, and spent most of her life in Winnipeg. She taught school in Winnipeg for 40 years before retiring. Her teaching career was interrupted for service in the air force during the war from which she was honourably discharged with the rank of Squadron Leader. She loved her work and the children, many of whom have maintained contact with her through the years. She will be sadly missed by her cousins, Margaret Brown of Peterborough, Ont. and Al (Hazel) Brock of Winnipeg, along with her many friends and associates in Tuxedo Estates and Deer Lodge Centre. Hilda was predeceased by her close friend Dorothy Lane in 1991 and by her sister Marion Syms in 1993. Her many years vacationing at Malakai Lake in Ontario with Dorothy Lane was a very special part of her life. Hilda will be remembered for her spirited lifestyle and her kindness to all, particularly the children. Special thanks are extended to nurses and staff on T4 of Deer Lodge Centre for their dedicated service and for the excellent care given Hilda during her stay. At Hildas request there will be no service. Cremation has taken place with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
