IRENE ISABEL STEPHENS (nee WHITE) Irene Stephens passed away at the Grace Hospital on September 15, 1999 at age 92. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald MacGregor Stephens in 1968. Irene is survived by her children, David (Barb), Aynsley (Hugh) Smith, Dennis (Janis) and Richard (Shirley) eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Irene was born in Boissevain in 1907, daughter of Agustus and Grace White. She spent her formative years in Moosejaw and graduated from the Winnipeg General Hospital School of Nursing in 1931. She married Donald MacGregor Stephens in 1934. Irene was one of the founding members of the Engineers Wives Association of Manitoba and a member of the Sisterhood of P.E.O. Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 20, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of the Lions Manor and the nurses and doctors at the Grace General Hospital for the care shown to our mother.
