AINA EMELIA SANDBERG (nee WIERIKKO) On Thursday, September 16, 1999, Aina Sandberg passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 88 years. Aina was born on July 28, 1911 on the family farm in Sunshine, ON. She is survived by three daughters, Lorraine Langston of Nanaimo, BC, Margaret Sereda (Peter) of Thunder Bay, and Linda Gibson (Gary) of Winnipeg; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Aili Archer. Aina was a sweet, and generous woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She had a radiant personality, and a heart of gold. She loved to cook, garden, knit, and crochet, and she was an avid animal lover also. Even though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on forever. At Ainas request there will be no formal service. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
