CHERYL VALDINE LOEWEN Peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, September 17, 1999 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Cheryl, beloved wife of Gerald and loving mother of Erin and Christine, passed away at the age of 46 years. She will also be lovingly remembered by her parents, Steini and Inga Palsson; sisters, Morene (Robert) Triska, Brenda (Archie) Palsson; brother Ryan (Sigrid) father-in-law and mother-in-law George and Kathy Loewen; sisters-in-law, Brenda (Bill) Riddell, Lori (Gerry) Enns; brothers-in-law, Len (Linda) Loewen and many nieces and nephews. Cheryl had a great passion for all things creative. Her time was often spent teaching her friends new ways of creating beauty out of ordinary materials. She was always eager to try that one new and different project and share her knowledge with her sisters in Riverton, or other fellow crafters. She loved and was well loved by children of all ages. She enjoyed keeping track of the successes of all of her nieces and nephews and was equally proud of them all. Cheryl touched many lives and her passing will be deeply felt by them all. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for their openness, care and support given to Cheryl. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Church of the Nazarene, 214 Henderson Hwy., with Pastor Mel Siggelkow officiating. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 9Z9.
