Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryE. HELEN RENNIE LOCKHART Peacefully at Vista Park Lodge, Helen, widow of the late Thomas J. Lockhart, passed away September 17, 1999. Helen is survived by her son James R. (Christina) son Douglas R. and his daughter Cody; daughter Marie Sinclair (William) of Kelowna, B.C. and grandson Thomas. Douglas and Marie are twins. Born in Wellington, Ontario, March 1, 1908 to George and Ellen Jane (Walker) Rennie. At age two was brought to Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, receiving her education in Portage. Helen graduated from the St. Boniface Hospital School of Nursing in The Class of 1930. She spent five years working in Manitoba hospitals before leaving for the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for eight wonderful years. Helen has resided in Fort Garry since January, 1950. Helens interests included the St. Boniface Research Foundation and St. Boniface Nurses Alumni. She was a member and played an active role in the Fort Garry United Church. In 13 years after 1983, she collected over 100,000 pairs of glasses for the Christian Blind Mission International. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Road.
