FLORA COLUCCI (nee CHARTRAND) With great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on September 10, 1999 at the Sioux Lookout District Health Centre. Flora was born on February 3, 1935 in St. Laurent, Manitoba. She came to Sioux Lookout in 1957 and made it her home. Flora and Gino were married for 41 years. Their years together were spent enjoying the outdoors, fishing, gardening and being amongst family and friends. Flora was the heart and center of our family and will always remain so in spirit. Her giving nature was one of her strongest traits as demonstrated by her many kind deeds throughout her career as wife, mother, grandmother, sister, nurse and friend. Cooking and knitting for her cherished children and grandchildren brought her many hours of joy. Flora never let anything hold her back and was always willing to tackle something new. Her latest accomplishment was learning to surf the world wide web. Way to go Flo! Left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss is her husband Gino; daughters, Gina, Sharon (Tom Sayers), Carol (Peter Gustafson) of Winnipeg, Karen (Victor Ciurko) son, Danny; grandchildren, Sharol and Maegan Ciurko, Brendon and Tyler Sayers, and Jennifer and Trevor Gustafson. She also leaves her sisters, Georgette (Denis), Julie, Angela, and Claudette, all from Winnipeg; brothers, Ron (Fern) and Conrad, of Winnipeg; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Alexandre; one sister, Evelyn; two brothers, Peter and Leonard. Funeral services were held on Monday, September 13 at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Sioux Lookout, Ontario with Father Randall Morrisseau officiating. Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Sioux Lookout Diabetes Program through the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home, 128 Front Street, P.O Box 1600, Sioux Lookout, ON, P8T 1B9.
