Dad was born on August 10, 1910 in Ashville, MB. He was one of nine children born to Irene and Metro Mymko. Dad is survived by his five children, Elizabeth Laidlaw (Ian) Cambridge, ON, Phyllis Rutter Cobourg, ON, Rose Lock (Jim) Winnipeg, MB, Ernest Mymko (Gail) Newark, CA and Muriel James Westport, ON; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, as well as his longtime friend and companion Sophie Penziwol. After his marriage Dad farmed at Oakburn, MB for a number of years. In 1941 Dad moved his family to Winnipeg where he was employed by Canada Packers for 39 years, retiring in 1980. Cremation has taken place. At Dads request there will be no service, but a private family burial will be held at Holy Family Cemetery. Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Terry Babick and all the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home for their care of our father and the kindness extended to our family during this most difficult time. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations can be made to Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W 1T9 in memory of our father. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
