Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS WOODS Peacefully, on Thursday, September 16, 1999 after a prolonged illness at the Deer Lodge Centre, Gladys passed away at the age of 82 years, of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Gladys was born in Viscount, SK on April 8, 1917. She derived great pleasure from her garden at her home of many years on Kingston Row, and her cottage at Lac du Bonnet, MB. She will be greatly missed by her many friends. Remaining to forever cherish Gladys memory are her sister Phyllis Axford; nephew, Glenn Axford and wife Marjolaine; nieces, Adele Deagan and husband Dennis; Diane Young and husband Bruce; a special niece, Marilyn Pexa; grand nieces and nephews, Pascale, Tomah and Kyrie Axford; Damian and Keely Deagan, and Collin and Lara Young; the many Woods family nieces and nephews and all her many good friends throughout the years. She was predeceased by her husband John Woods; her parents, John and Olga Hawkins, and by her brothers, Jerome (Bud) Hawkins and Kenneth Hawkins of Kelowna, BC. On Friday, September 24 at 1:30 p.m., a Service of Remembrance celebrating Gladys life will be held in the Deer Lodge Chapel, 2109 Portage Ave. with Canon Barbara Barnett officiating. Our family would like to thank the staff on 4 East at the Deer Lodge Centre. As an expression of sympathy if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Deer Lodge Foundation for Geriatrics Inc., 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3 or to a charity of your choice.
