Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BOYCHUK It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, John Boychuk, aged 68 on Thursday, September 16, 1999 at the Concordia Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 40 years, Yvonne and their four children, Bonnie (Mike), Bruce (Chris), Shannon (Kevin) and Kristi. Dad was a devoted grampa to his precious grandchildren, Danelle, Adam, Ian and Maria. He took an active part in their lives as they were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his brothers, Bill (Verna), Metro (Evelyn), Lawrence (Shirley) and his sister Vicki, Mary (Mike), Emily (Bob) and Sally. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Nellie. Dad was born in Gorlitz, Sask. on June 9, 1931. He came to Winnipeg in 1954 and was employed by Ashdowns and then Acklands till his retirement in 1996. In his earlier years he was an avid baseball player and later on enjoyed gardening and puttering around in his backyard. Prayers will be on Monday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m., also at the chapel with interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A heart of gold stopped beating, hard working hands went to rest, God took you home to prove to us, he only takes the best. Heartaches in this world are many, But losing you was worse than any. It will be lonely here without you, We will miss you more each day, For life will not be the same for us, Since youve been called away. We will always remember the way you looked, the way you walked and smiled, all the things you did for us, will be with us all the while. You always did your best, your heart was true and tender, you lived your life for those you loved, and those you loved will remember. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.

20 Years...…..and it still feels like yesterday. Remembering how your strong but gentle hands would warm up mine when they were cold. Remembering the loving smile and glow in your eye that would instantly appear when your Grandkids walked in the room. How you would hold and kiss their small hand when you carried them around the room when they were babies. Remembering how you would intently watch out the window for the first leaf that would fall on the lawn after you spent hours raking the yard (and the choice words you had for that leaf!!) You were a man of few words, but your actions spoke volumes about how much you loved and lived for your family. Remembering...…….and cherishing the time we were all so blessed to have with you. Love you more than words can say. XO XO - Kristi - Posted by: Kristi (Daughter) on: Sep 16, 2019

Not a day goes by when I don't think of you dad. I miss you so much and it still hurts. So much has happened but I carry you in my heart. Little words and sayings that were uniquely you make me smile. We all love you and miss you. You were the best! - Posted by: Bonnie Boychuk (Daughter) on: Jun 11, 2014
