JOHN STEFIK 1924 - 1999 Peacefully, on Monday, September 13, 1999 at Riverview Health Centre. John will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Anne; sisters, Pearl, Helen, Kay and Doris, numerous nieces and nephews, in-laws and friends. John was predeceased by his father Fred; mother Sophie; sisters, Anne, Rose, Mary and Eileen; brothers, Nick and Joe. John worked at Burns Foods for 40 years. He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. It was at Johns request that a private family service mark his passing. The Basilian Fathers officiated at this service on September 16, 1999. In tears I saw you sinking, I watched you fade away, You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, &Come with Me&. So when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain, I could not wish you back To suffer that again. - Always remembered, always cherished. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
