CAROLINE COOK Peacefully on Friday, September 17, 1999 at the Percy E. Moore Hospital, with her daughters at her side, Caroline went home to be with the Lord. Caroline was born on January 1, 1915 to the late Cornelius and Clara (nee Doll) Favell, of Fisher Bay, MB. Caroline leaves to cherish her memory son Alfred of Flin Flon; daughters, Phyllis Murdock and Jemima Cook of Portage La Prairie; sister Annie Sinclair and family of Fisher River, MB; son-in-law Norman H. Murdock and family of Fisher River; grandchildren, Linda, Meagan, Bob, Cornelius and their families, Mary Sevien and two great-grandchildren, Litonya and Shenelle. Caroline was predeceased by her husband Bill; son Tommy; daughters Dorothy and Lydia; brother Gordon and brother-in-law Alec G. Sinclair. Caroline spend a lot of her adult years (after becoming widowed), being a caregiver in the community for numerous families and friends. She lived with her sister Annie later on in her life. In turn, the caregiving was given back to her by the staff of the Personal Care Home for 12 years since 1987. Caroline always appreciated everything she received and passed this appreciation gift to her children. She made sure her little cupboard and her pockets were full of mints and gum, ready for giving away. The most exciting moments of her life, was when family members would come and visit, or take her home for the day, or bring her things. Caroline shared with everyone about when her "kids" were coming out for a special occasion, or if they had phoned her. Carolines eulogy about her memorable life will be given at her funeral. Carolines family would like to thank Dr. Andreas, nurses at the Percy E. Moore Hospital, Phyllis, Jemima, Alfred and all the other caregivers, and those who made it possible for them and Annie to be there with her during her last days. Prayers will be held on Sunday, September 19 at the Fisher River Personal Care Home at 6:00 p.m. Wake service will follow at 8:00 p.m. at the Stevens Memorial United Church, Koostatak, Manitoba.
