EDWARD A. BROWN We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Ed Brown on Thursday, September 16, 1999. His life and memory will be cherished by Dot, his wife of 56 years, and his three sons and their families, David, Carol, Leanne and Matthew of Regina, Murray, Sharon and Jessica of Stonewall, and Ward, Carol, Amy, Kyla and Claire of Winnipeg. Ed returned from serving with the R.C.A.F. in the Second World War to a long career with Manitoba Hydro. He retired in 1981 to enjoy his family, the outdoors, reading, and the long leisurely trips into the western United States and across Canada with his loving wife Dot. Ed and Dot give thanks for the support and companionship of valued friends from the early days in Morse Place. Their retirement was enriched with the excellent adventures of the Hydro-X group. The last seven years have become very special with the new friends and the camaraderie at Kirchhoff Gardens. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Eds life will be held on Monday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., with Reverend Ian Manson officiating. A private family interment will take place at St. Vital Cemetery at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined, those so wishing may contribute in Eds memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8 or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg R3L 1X3. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
