MARIE JANE CHORNIUK (nee CHYMY) March 1, 1949 - September 25, 1999 Jane passed away peacefully at the Seven Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer. She will be lovingly remembered by husband Ed; daughter Laura; mother Helen; brother Terry; nieces Tara, Samantha, and Hailey, and other family members. She was predeceased by her father Joseph and brother Jerry. Jane was born in Broad Valley, MB and at a very early age moved to Winnipeg. She attended various schools in the city, graduated from university, and became a teacher. She taught at Transcona Collegiate, Garden City Collegiate, Jefferson Junior High, and at H.C. Avery. Her tremendous outlook on life, her sense of humour, and capacity for love touched the lives of everyone who knew her in a special way. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 28 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, MB. The service will commence at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, 4535 Main St. Pallbearers are Jay Buchanan, Terry Chrol, Terry Chymy, Glenn Forsyth, Rory Paul and David Struc. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., or the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB.
