Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICKI GREENBERG On September 13, 1999, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Vicki Greenberg. She will be lovingly remembered by her life-long partner of 44 years, her husband Mort; children, Harriet and husband Hamid, Pam and husband George and Jack and wife Hanneke; grandchildren, Aryan and Roya, Jacob and Zachary, Sarah, Jonah and Samuel; her sister Lovey and husband Lenny (Florida) brother-in-law Al and wife Noreen, as well as many close family and friends. Vicki was born February 16, 1932 in New York City and moved to Winnipeg in 1955 after her wedding. She was active in the Jewish community and amateur theatre for years, and was a partner in Academy Fashions. Her tremendous outlook on life, her sense of humour and capacity for love touched the lives of everyone who knew her in a special way. Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 15 at the Rosh Pina Synagogue. Pallbearers were Hamid Ghahremani, George McCall, Manly Rusen, Ian Kay, Ian Smith and Bill Brownstone. Honourary pallbearers were Al Greenberg, Harvey Kay, Hy Paisner, Harold Charlot, Buzz Brown and Albert Lowe. The family gratefully acknowledges the kindness and compassion shown by the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Autism Society.
