Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTOPHER HUBERT McKAY It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of our father, brother and Grandpa on September 17, 1999 at the Concordia Hospital. Christopher was born and raised in Berens River, Man. He was a former Mayor of Berens River, commercial fisherman, bookkeeper, and miner, aka Yogie Bear. Christopher was predeceased by his wife Catherine; son Lenny; mother Marie; father George E. McKay; brothers, Joe, Angus, William; and sister Virginia. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, five daughters, Mary, Lorraine, Marlene, Lynn and Jacequeline; one son Raymond; five brothers, Vincent, Robert, Henry, Rene and Nap; two sisters, Stella and Jacinta; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, September 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 1:00 p.m., also at the Chapel, with Rev. Clarke Stevenson officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
