She married Paolo in 1944 and they immigrated to Canada in 1958, settling in Winnipeg, where they raised their family. Assunta was employed as a seamstress for many years. She was especially proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was the Sunday family gatherings. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 in memory of our mother. You were always there when we needed you, No task was too great or small, With a loving heart and a willing hand, For us you did it all. Thanks for the years you gave us and for the times we shared. We only pray that when you left us You knew how much we cared. God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered Come with Me.
