LEYLA MAY YAKIWCHUK (nee WORSELY) July 27, 1942 - September 18, 1999 With deepest sorrow, we announce the passing of Leyla May Yakiwchuk at St. Boniface Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Andrew and her sons, Kevin and Creston, and many relatives. She was predeceased by her daughter Cherryl; her parents, Gilbert and Pearl Worsely; her three sisters, Dorothy Worsely, Marjorie Steinthornson, and Marilyn Kopecky; and her parents-in-law, William and Pearl Yakiwchuk. Leyla was born in Benito, MB. She loved to play the organ, paint and sew before her lengthy illness. She lived in East Braintree, MB for a few years and the rest of her life in Lorette, MB. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m. at the Landmark Christian Fellowship Church, Landmark, MB. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the East Braintree Cemetery.
