Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMERLE SANDISON BROWN Merle departed this life on September 20, 1999 at her home in Thunder Bay. She was the beloved wife of the Rev. Robert Brown, honourary assistant of St. Pauls Anglican Church, Ridgeway St., Thunder Bay. Merle was born in Lossiemouth, N.E. Scotland on August 1, 1938, attended school there, and in Elgin. She taught in England, Mexico and joined the Department of Indian Affairs in Alberta as a teacher and later as an Education Counsellor. She attended McGill University, received a MSW, worked at the Shawbridge Boys Farm in St. Morin as manager of a unit. She was a member of the Anglican Church Women, a generous supporter of the Churchs work at home and overseas. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister in Scotland, and former husband David Baillie of Montreal. A memorial service will be held at St. Pauls Anglican Church, Thunder Bay, on Friday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. The Rt. Rev. Ronald Ferris will officiate. A private interment will follow at St. Johns Cathedral Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to Volunteers in Mission or St. Pauls Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Jenkens Funeral Home, Thunder Bay.
