REMI RITCHOT Peacefully at the Victoria General Hospital on September 21, 1999, Remi Ritchot, aged 73 years, joined our mother Jeannine. Remi was born on November 8, 1925 and spent his early years in and around Aubigny. He tried various occupations before deciding to make a career with N.M. Paterson and Sons Ltd. There he spent twenty plus years as an Elevator Manager before taking early retirement due to health problems. Dad was predeceased by our mother and his first wife Jeannine; his parents; sisters Jeanne, Eva, Eliane and Alice; his brothers Jean Louis and Jim. Surviving is his wife Annette (nee Laferriere) and her children; his sisters, Isabelle and Therese; brothers Gabriel, Jean Marie and Joseph Hector (Marcotte). He will also be missed by his children, Daniel (Rita), Nicole (Jerry), Roland (Juliette), Charles (Lynn), Jacques (Janice), Henri (Diane), Denise (Jim) and Normand (Elaine) twenty one grandchildren and one great granddaughter; brother-in-law Jean LeGourrierec and sister-in-law Denise Lemire. Prayers will be said on Thursday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m. in the La Salle Roman Catholic Church, La Salle, Manitoba. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one half hour prior to mass also in the La Salle Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Henri Perron presiding. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Victoria General Hospital, as well as to all those who visited our father.
